JGMS harnesses the capabilities of Jeep® distributors worldwide to create a comprehensive customer support network for the J8.  We design support solutions specifically tailored to your needs, from convenient spare parts ordering, warehousing and supply to an integrated logistics support (ILS) package that provides everything from technical training to field technical support.  JGMS can manage your fleet throughout its entire life cycle.

ILS Evaluation Visit

Planning is essential to all successful projects, and an ILS evaluation visit is the first step in our planning process.  This allows JGMS to draw on our extensive experience to provide tailored solutions based on the operating environment, customer requirements and capabilities and available resources.  Aspects of our evaluation include:

  • Operational and environmental analysis
  • In theatre workshop facilities, equipment and staff capabilities assessment
  • Supply chain review - local and international
  • Training requirements
  • Development of strong working relations with in-country personnel
Training

JGMS develops training programs by applying practical needs analysis in the field, where it counts most, to ensure that our training is customized to your needs:

  • Courses can be offered in-country and in local language or at regional training centers
  • Technical training runs from basic vehicle systems and maintenance to complete overhaul and remote diagnosis using WiTech Remote Connectivity internet-based software
  • All training materials can be provided in language consistent with customer standards
Technical Publications

Vehicle projects are delivered with a comprehensive support publications pack, providing the customer with up-to-date information on servicing, maintenance and repair. JGMS understands the cost and operational impact of fleet down-time, and our technical publications enable maintenance staff to keep your fleet on the road. Publications range from user handbooks to full scale military publications. Authored in English, all publications can be translated and are available in print and electronic format for:

  • Jeep J8 repair manual, user handbook, parts catalogue
  • JGMS workshop and operator manuals
  • JGMS illustrated spare parts catalogues
Service and Parts

J8 vehicles benefit from Jeep's worldwide service and support network of over 4,000 dealers. The advantages of this network include:

  • In-country vehicle inspections (PDI) prior to hand-over
  • Access to national and regional parts warehouses improves availability and reduces inventory cost
  • Local Jeep workshop training and advisory programs or a maintenance and repair contract tailored to your needs

Warranty

All J8 vehicles sold by JGMS are backed by a manufacturer's warranty covering the full vehicle. The standard warranty covers 12 months or 20,000 km. Extended warranty terms are available upon request.

Local Assembly

Where volume permits, J8 specialized modifications can be assembled locally, providing significant employment opportunities in customer countries. In such situations, JGMS provides assembly instructions, process documents, training and supervision of local staff in assembly operations, as well as inspecting vehicles prior to delivery to validate the vehicle's warranty.
